memories of christmas...

blackjack with the adults. i remember storing my winning coins in a pink pencil box. we passed around a toy gun which had a balloon fixed to it. the more u click on the trigger, the closer the needle gets to the balloon. we passed it around and placed it next to our ear and i cant remember who was the unlucky one, but it seemed to me, the adults had more fun than i did.

then again, everyday was like christmas back then. my cousins and i had a massive collection of polly pockets. we made sure the tiny dolls were standing upright before we closed the little box. nowadays the kids just swallow them. sad.

i remember aunt lela's neighbours. the 2 white boys we taught how to play 5 stones to. kim's mom gave us a disney watch. the best thing about that christmas gathering was probably the delicious egg nog. kim and his brother started hitting each other during an argument over whose turn it was after they mastered the basic techniques of that little 5 stones game, and that was the end of the party.

yy and i got stuck in traffic last night for about an hour plus. we listened to his cd and laughed to a song that we heard while watching an old flick, Twins, in cameron highlands, starring arnold and (whats the name of that short bald guy who played his twin). it went something like this...

pick up the paper and the trash
you aint got no spending cash
yakkety yak!!!

that was my christmas 06.
