the week flew by damn fast. work is hell. i set the timer on my phone, and realised, none of us get to sit and continue with our work for more than 15 mins. just when we're in the midst of trying to clear up our workload, give it a max of 13 mins, before someone calls out your name and piles another 10 files on your table, some of the cases even running since year 2000.
work is as such. 9-6..right...
we'll walk in feeling blue at 9.15, get to do our work till 11.00 before the lawyers arrive and have a little fun, with the radio playing our kind of songs. lawyers come in at 11.00, switches off the radio and play their opera songs (i'm serious). it'd be a terrible rush and mess between 11 to 1 when the lawyers give us more work and examines our drafts. we have lunch at 1pm, although most of the time, we only leave at 1.30 since we're running out of time. 2-3= more rush period. 3-4= even more rush period. 4-5= run to file documents and drop cheques and collect documents from court. 5-6= more workload. 6- (until we decide its really time to go)= most constructive time since we get to sit and finally concentrate on our stuff.
and thats excluding the time wasted running downstairs to acknowledge documents. grrr.
okay, now, for the good things we get working with the brothers. on fridays, we all go for lunch together... just yesterday, we went to a posh italian restaurant along clarke quay, and they opened a bottle of red wine.. yummy... next friday, we wont be going for lunch together cos we all have a dinner gathering for a 'one-month bash' for one of the lawyer's newborn baby. 10 tables, mandarin hotel, 9-course dinner...
i'm a lucky lucky girl.. oh thats not all...
ok i'll name the lawyers, leo and ed... they're brothers by the way..
leo is getting his membership for a club in sentosa.. and he said, when he gets it, all of us will have to rush our work on fridays, and if all is done, we'll leave the office early, and head to the club with the rest of his family, and have dinner, swim, karaoke, gamble(when the new casino opens), club, etc.
and better still, the brothers are fans of england...
i have good employers, though they can be damn demanding at times, then again, which lawyers aren't demanding? haha..
