(mom: i got a tattoo yesterday of Led Zeppelin. and i pierced my tongue)
SOOOO, i'm done with sending resumes and studying for my exams.. now, its time to sit back, relax and wait for phone calls. i was reading a Plea for Eros before my cousin and i went on a 'trip' around chinatown, and hidden places in Singapore that funnily, only the tourists have seen.
initially, we planned on going to esplanade to check out the outdoor theatre where they have free-to-see performances every weekend. but the thought of taking the bus to fullerton and crossing that long bridge wasn't very appealing.
on our way to pagoda street, i was looking out the stained glass of the bus and realised that town is the last place i would ever want to go to on a beautiful sunny day like today. its funny, everyone was walking around as though they've lost their way, and the crowd looked somewhat bland, even amidst the streetside entertainment.
have we all turned into that soul-less machine rounding routines? even shopping, in singapore, is like going to a war. people, walking around aimlessly, no life in their faces.. even last night when i was out for yy's birthday, everyone was seated quietly watching the band. whats up?
where were the days when people let loose? you don't see it anymore, well not in Singapore at least..
anyway, john and i need to go book shopping... the thought of it makes me drool... i can picture myself at the '3 for the price of 2' section at borders, looking for a good bargain, and then walking around to the Dan Brown section, tempted to buy the newer editions of the same book. i have the uk version.. i feel like getting the us version and the hard cover illustrated ones at the same time. woooppeeedooo..
okay, i think i hear Plea for Eros calling from my bag.
till i end my colourful journey in the world of fiction....
oh, and mom... i was just kidding.. hehe
